A new 16 unit parlour has been installed on a greenfield site in Co.Tipperary, Ireland by McNamara Milking Machines of Co.Cork.
The milking parlour was planned so it has room to extend from 16 to 20 units if required in the future.
The parlour includes a number of features including automatic gates to make the herd’s entrance into the parlour easier and more time efficient, an in-parlour feeding system with stainless steels troughs and LED lighting over the parlour to provide a brighter environment for the cows and operators.
The parlour also features automatic cluster removers (ACRs), milk meters and an automatic washing system.
To complete the new installation, an 8,000 litre Packo bulk tank was purchased to store the milk for the farm’s three day collection. The tank was installed by Frank Murphy of Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
